Hope, my daughter. Please pray for her recovery <3

This is my daughter, Hope. I have had her since 2002 when I went to the library in Maryland. It was snowing so heavy and she was under the overhang, trying to keep warm. I gave her my red scarf and told her “If you’re out here when we come out, we’ll take you home”…. And sure enough an hour later there she was waiting patiently curled up on the scarf. My ex and I carried her about a mile home and she became a part of the family. She is a part of my only family I have left. A point in time came when I was not able to care for her and she spent a whole year at a Petsmart in South Carolina. There was a reason no one was able to pass the applications and screenings in order to take her home. I was able to retrieve her and bring her back home. She has outlasted my 9 year partner, she has outlived and outsmarted when things that should have brought her down faced her. Now, she is ill. She has a severe upper respiratory infection. I have taken her to the vet but she continues to grow worse. I will take her back again when I get paid on tuesday. I pray she can make it until then. I’m a cat woman and I know there really isn’t anything other than professional medicine and care that can help…. But right now I am calling on all of you to please keep her in your prayers. She has given me HOPE in my darkest of days. Every once in a while even Hope could use some ‘hope’. <3 <3 <3 Thanks. Much love.

My mom and I got matching cat tattoos. Our family has undergone quite a few trials and tribulations in the last 8 years, and like cats, we always land on our feet. So we got cats to remind us that no matter what happens, we will always land on our feet.
i have this accompanied by “Forgive Me” on my nape
